NOTICE OF EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY The Village of Polk, Nebraska, is taking applications for a Full-time Maintenance Operator. The successful applicant will be required to work in all aspects of the Village – Utilities – electric, water and sewer, help to maintain streets, parks and buildings. Having basic computer skills is helpful. Applicants may be subject to a background check, drug and alcohol testing. Must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, and must possess a valid Nebraska driver’s license with a clean driving record. Applicant must have current Nebraska Grade IV Water Operator License, a Grade I Wastewater Treatment Facility Certification and an ornamental and turf pesticide training or be able to obtain these licenses within 12 months. Applicants must be a least 19 years of age; must be able to lift 50 pounds; work a normal 8 – 5 day; be able to work outdoors in extreme weather conditions; be on-call after hours and weekends and be a legal US citizen. Pay will be based on qualifications and experience; and additional wages are paid for employee insurance.
