SEWER COMMISSIONER/WASTEWATER Operator: The City of Albion is accepting applications for a Full-Time Sewer Commissioner/Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator. The position is appointed by the Mayor and under general direction of the Public Works Coordinator and City Administrator. The City is seeking a conscientious, organized, and knowledgeable individual who possesses technical skills, can maintain equipment, and produce accurate and thorough reports. The sewer commissioner is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City of Albion Sewer System and Wastewater Treatment Facility. Requirements include graduation from high school or equivalent, a valid Nebraska driver’s license, and relevant experience in a water and/or sewer system operations and maintenance – or a related industry. A current Water and Wastewater operator license is required to hold the position; however, an otherwise qualified candidate may pursue the licensing within the first year of employment.
